Maxine Kane, Enrolled Dental Therapist Cert (1979), Enrolled Dental Hygiene (1982) GDC 10838

Initially I worked as a Dental Therapist in the Community Dental Service in Kent. After further qualifications in Dental Hygiene I spent 4 years working abroad in Zimbabwe in the mid 1980s. Since returning home to Sussex I have practised in both NHS and private dental surgeries. In 1999 I moved to Cornwall with my husband and two small girls and have juggled these last years between raising a family and utilising my full scope of dental care in private practice across the Devon and Cornwall area, including teaching for 8 years at Peninsula Dental School. I am a full member of the British Association of Dental Therapists; The British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapists and team member of The Faculty of General Dental Practitioners and am fully committed to continuing professional development. I particularly enjoy the prospect of making a difference to the whiter smile and gum health of all patients who attend for treatment at North Tawton Dental Practice and look forward to meeting new patients, as well as maintaining the oral health of regular patients at the practice. I am an active member of my church in North Cornwall and enjoy swimming, ballet, visiting National Trust and exploring the spectacular territories of Devon and Cornwall by walking on Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and the Coastal Path with the family.
